Biking enthusiasts can ride around in the region using the 350-km long biking path network. Various sections of the network will meet everybody’s demands, should you want to have a leisurely ride along the river Mur, try your skills on a steep slope or just go for a rush downhills. There are 6 bike paths starting in the direct vicinity of the hotel, with sections on paved and gravel roads and in forests.









There are several opportunities available in the Kreischberg region for hiking and trekking. Hiking enthusiasts can choose from a wide variety of hiking trails in the mountains around. You will not be able to resist the urge to take long walks and enjoy the unique local climate and clean air of the Mur valley. If you never tried this popular recreational activity, it is really time for you to “get wild”. Rides of various difficulty levels are available, so even beginners will have fun and the beautiful scenery will surely please everybody.

The Murtalerhof inn offers raft rides from June to September, twice a day at 9:30am and 1:30pm. Group size is minimum 6 participants. Please bring your own bathing gear and towel and make sure you do not leave your enthusiasm at home!

The Golf Club Murau-Kreischberg is located to the east of St. Lorenzen ob Murau to the direction of Murau. The 18-hole golf course was opened in 2006. It is bordered by endless green forests all around except for one side where the river Mur runs. Two 9-hole games are available for players; both start and end at the club house. Golfers have to face the challenges represented by bunkers, lakes and an island green.

Red Bull Ring


The renovated Austrian racing circuit in Spielberg was officially opened on 15 May 2011. The circuit near Zeltweg, used to be known as Österreichring and then as A1-Ring, is called now Red Bull Ring after the investors. Visitors can not only try go-karts, motorbikes, cross bikes, off-road bikes and even KTM X-Bow racing cars, but also test their driving skills in the Driving Center.
